CRITT Bio-industries
Presentation
Expert in Industrial Biotechnologies and Separation Techniques, CRITT Bio-Industries has been supporting companies and public organizations in their research and development projects, from proof of concept to industrial scale-up, through privileged partnerships.
OUR
Missions
We support and participate in projects as partners or subcontractors, collaborating with a wide range of entities from start-ups to large corporations. We address their methodological and technological needs in industrial biotechnologies to:
- Support their development through innovation
- Develop and optimize their processes
- Facilitate scale-up for pre-industrial development
A FERTILE Environment FOR innovation :
THE Biotech alley
The CRITT Bio-Industries is a technical platform, hosted by the INSA Toulouse.
The structure is connected to three other entities also located on the engineering school’s campus, within the “Biotech Alley”:
- TBI (Toulouse Biotechnology Institute)
- TWB (Toulouse White Biotechnology)
- CRITT GPTE (Process Engineering and Environmental Technologies)

OUR PARTNERS
WITHIN THE Biotech alley

INSA Toulouse
Engineering school training for around eight different specialties, including biological engineering and process engineering: water, energy, and environment.

TWB
A pre-industrial demonstrator in the field of white biotechnologies, supported by INSA Toulouse, CNRS, and INRAE

CRITT GPTE
A technological resource center at INSA Toulouse, specializing in industrial process engineering and bioprocesses for the environment.
TIBH,
Toulouse Industrial Biotechnology for Health

Through TIBH, CRITT Bio-Industries, TWB, and TBI are certified as Industrial Integrators for Biotherapy-Bioproduction and are part of the 6 French platforms of the Grand Défi “Biopharmaceuticals” launched by the General Secretariat for Investment (SGPI). This certification enables the three organizations to leverage their expertise to support the health industries. The goal of TIBH is to assist in the development of new production pathways for biopharmaceuticals through industrial biotechnologies.
